The opening session of the festival of cinema of the parish of Arroios featured the performance of the singer and guitarist Mazgani, on September 9, in the auditorium of the Escola Secundária de Camões. The session was attended by the president of the Junta de Freguesia de Arroios, Margarida Martins; João Afonso, Councilor for Social Rights of the Lisbon City Council; of the jury members of this 2nd edition of Arroios Film Festival – the actress Custódia Gallego; the journalist, film critic and programmer José Vieira Mendes; the critic, writer and film teacher João Antunes; the actress Patrícia Bull; and the vice president of Iberia Universal, Paulo Zhan – among many other guests.

The Camões Auditorium – located at Rua Almirante Barroso 25A – is once again hosting this film festival, which runs until September 16 – when the closing session of the festival is held. In addition to the screening of short films under the theme of inclusion, during the festival’s days, several places of the parish host side program initiatives.

The Arroios Film Festival is organized by the Arroios Parish Council, with the support of the Social Rights Board of the Lisbon City Council, Arroios TV and other public and private partners.
